NFL Week 7 - Picks

While I hate those athlete's who "guarantee" victory (because really, what's the downside to doing this???), I feel very confident in this week. It's time to right the ship as they say. It's been a very close first 6 weeks, and a few picks either way could have had this thing out of reach. That being said, I may have had a few picks go my way too. Either way, this week it's time to break the losing streak. Game seven. Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. I guess this makes me the Rays and Bitch the big bad Red Sox.

So... The story started at 3-0 for Liam and then the momentum shifted to 3-0 for Ling and suddenly in Week 7 the story of the season takes the next great shift and turn. The season series is tied and the momentum is dramatically in favour of Ling.

Can Liam reclaim his good fortune from early in the season? Or will the slide continue, just as last season will Ling lay the smackdown.

I'll take the latter and to put the pressure on, I will make my picks first.

SUNDAY

Baltimore at Miami:

Liam: Dolphins. I initially had the Ravens here, but I didn't want Bitch the opportunity to tie me this week. This week is victory week for me. The Ravens offense is absolutely pathetic...and all these trick plays could throw their great defense off kilter. It's not that I like the Dolphins so much as I don't trust the Ravens once untouchable D. I also hope this doesn't come back to haunt me.

Liam: Vikings. I'm not crazy about this matchup...but here's my thought process. I've always said that the Vikes have to use the passing game to open up the field for All-Day Peterson. If they can do that, and keep the defence from stacking the line, then they can be successful. With a severely banged up secondary, the Bears may not be able to stop the pass...thereby opening up some space for All-Day to have an encore to last year's thrashing. But that's a big IF.

San Diego at Buffalo:

Liam: Chargers. I am officially calling out the San Diego Chargers. I'm tired of hearing the excuse of a west coast team having to travel to the east coast. Suck it up you pussies. Thanks to Liam's 'victorious Vikes' on Monday Night Football, my picks won Week 5 and I'm back in business 2-3 on the season.

Plus... On a side bet, Liam wanted to take Adrian Peterson for more total yards on Monday Night then the Saints' Reggie Bush. Of course, the Vikings found a way to win despite the horrible game of Peterson. Reggie Bush became a certified NFL star on Monday Night.
