Week 4 Picks!

After a very respectable 10-4 week 3, I am going to try my hand again. Bitch and I will be Zach Duking it out each week right here. On a similar note, Zach Duke tries to lock up the season series versus Gustavo Chacin tonight. Chacin can still tie, but Duke has a been playing well and will be gunning for win number 11. But first, on with the picks:

Arizona at Atlanta: Atlanta
How pissed are the Falcons going to be that they lost last week? I think they come out firing on all cylinders and beat up on the helpless Cardinals. In a stunning turn of events Warner only fumbles 4 times!

Dallas at Tennessee: Dallas
Sorry Titans, but you won't find a win this week. If TO plays, he lights up the board. If he doesn't, then the team has another week without that whiny, self-centered, little P.O.S. What a jackass!

Indianapolis vs. NY Jets: Indianapolis
Pennington has been impressive so far, and will continue his solid play - but come on, this is still the New York Jets we are talking about. Indy stays undefeated in a rout. On a side note, Pedro will miss the entire post-season...HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

Miami at Houston: Miami
Look nobody is impressed with either of these teams, but someone has to win. Culpepper, my boy, has been a major bust. True he is coming off MAJOR surgery, but still! Come on Daunte!

Minnesota at Buffalo: Minnesota
I have a rule: Never bet on your own team. I try and I try, and I try to stick to that rule. More often than not I am able to stay away from those games. But this week, I have to pick a winner in every game. Minnesota could have beaten the Bears last week if it weren't for that shabby handoff from Johnson to Taylor. One bad bounce and they lose. Tough game, but the great teams win those games. That being said, I truly believe they have what it takes to beat the Bills.

New Orleans at Carolina: Carolina
Big win last week. Scratch that...HUGE win last week by the Saints. They were so jacked up to be back home, they could have been playing the '72 Dolphins and won. When a team is SO psyched to play a game, it's sometimes hard to carry that passion over to the next game. It's inevitable that they can't be as pumped as they were for Monday. A Carolina team with Smith back in the lineup is a dangerous one. Look for the Panthers to get back to .500 with a win.

San Diego at Baltimore: San Diego
Every piece of logic says that I should go with the Ravens. They are very tough at home. They have a superior D. McNair is playing well. I even like the Ravens...but something inside tells me that they don't win this football game. For no reason besides a gut feel, I take the Chargers.

San Francisco at Kansas City: Kansas City
I'll give you three reasons that the Chiefs win this game: Larry Johnson. Larry Johnson. Larry Johnson.

Detroit at St. Louis: Detroit
For a similar reason that New Orleans won last week (to a WAY smaller degree), the Lions will win this game. Sure Martz says that this game isn't any more special than the next, but the players know that's not true. Look for the Lions to step up and win one for the gipper.

Cleveland at Oakland: Cleveland
Well colour me orange and call me a believer. After a very impressive game against the Ravens, maybe the Browns are on to something. Then again, maybe not. But Oakland is bad. With a little extra confidence stemming from their Raven barnburner, this is Clevelands game to lose.

Jacksonville at Washington: Jacksonville
Why don't they use Chris Cooley? I was all psyched because this was truly his breakout (fantasy) year. His numbers stink. He was a stud last year, but they have gone away from using him. Until I see some signs of life from this 'Skins offense, I can't pick'em.

New England at Cincinnati: Cincinnati
Great game. I can't wait to watch this. Arguably two of the best three quarterbacks in the game go head to head. Losing Branch was a bit hit to this Pats team. They are a great "team", but even "teams" need to have standout players. Cinci is stacked with offense: Rudi, Housh, CJ, and this kid Henry should be enough to get by a young Pats team.

Seattle at Chicago: Seattle
A tough game for me to predict. I like this Seattle team. Sure I like them a little less without their stud, but it's still a very good team. Chicago didn't do much to impress me last week. I predicted a win by the Bears over Minnesota, but I didn't think it would be that close. Sure they kept the Vikes from scoring at ton of points, but Dave and I could probably do that too. In a tough game, I think Seattle finds a way to score enough points to get by the Bears.

Green Bay at Philadelphia: Philadelphia
In keeping with my evil master plan, the Eagles will continue to win until they give their fans hope - and then they will get smoked!!!! I hate Eagles fans. I HATE them. If I thought it would do any good, I would curse the Eagles to never win another game. But for this week, GO EAGLES.
