LIAM vs. LING Standings Update... 2007 Wrap Edition

Going into the football season, when the last standings update was provided, this is where we stood...

LIAM... 20
LING... 16

The baseball season was a rainmaker for Liam... He the following wagers --

$1 - Alex Rios made the All-Star Team
$1 - Aaron Hill did not finish top 3 in AL Fielding % (t-5th)
$1 - Zach Duke won 3 games where as Chacin won 2 (Duke started 20 games, Chacin 5... but a bet is a bet)

I'm also willing to concede another bet to Liam...

$1 - Culpepper has not signed with Drew Rosenhaus

Update the standings at this point to...

LIAM... 24
LING... 16

However, then the tidal wave that are the NFL picks hit Liam and hit him like a freight train. Ling won 14 weeks, to Liam's 3. That represents a significant power shift in the standings.

LIAM... 27
LING... 30

Open Current Bets...
1. The Chacin-Duke perpetual bet continues, Duke could be at a distinct advantage because Chacin will likely not make the Jays starting rotation and could be out of the majors next season... although so too could Duke
2. The Ovechkin-Crosby perpetual bet continues... who can score more points... This season thus far
-- Ling's boy Ovechkin has 30G, 18A = 48 points
-- Liam's boy Crosby has 16G, 36A = 52 points

A Side-Track Bet...
The Jason Blake Debacle... Blake has played 38 games in a Leafs uniform and has 5 goals. He's on pace for 11 on the season, which is far short for the 40 goals that Erin needs. Poor show Erin.
